A potter-ceramist has opened his workshop at the bottom of the village of Suilly-la-Tour. A building architect, this native of Haut-Savoie wanted to give a new meaning to his professional life. So Thierry Delanoy turned to art. After a course at Ema-Cnifop in Saint-Amand-en-Puisaye, he moved into a beautifully and ecologically renovated house. His studio is gradually taking shape, fitted out by himself. The shop, meanwhile, is showcasing his first products. There are two main areas of focus: cooking and oyas. The culinary side, with a wide range of dishes, from eggcups to casseroles for cooking chicken, as well as various saucepans, presentation dishes, cheese moulds, bowls and so on. Oyas are micro-porous ceramic pots. Always guided by his commitment to the environment, he has started making pots that can be partially buried in the garden or placed in the pot of a plant and filled with water that diffuses gently into the earth, limiting the amount of water needed for watering. In the near future, Thierry Delanoy hopes to pass on this knowledge through workshops and courses open to the public. He welcomes you to his shop, by appointment, to discover his work and the production workshop.
